403) Moss Lane of Pearse Street, D2
Located directly facing the superb O’Neill’s, but in no way much competition to that venerable establishment. Formerly some odd joint called the Trinity Inn that could be hired for parties and private events, predominantly for TCD folk, appropriately enough, given the location in the ‘university quarter’.
Nowadays it’s distinguished by the fact that, most unexpectedly (and here it has the edge on its otherwise superbly preserved neighbour), praise be, it serves a Beamish! And not just any Beamish either - Andrew Stephens declared that said Beamish was ‘bussing’! Other recollections are deeply dim (and any notes deeply scant), since we visited in the wake of a rake. Moss is thus a blurry moss in the memory.
