354) McLoughlin's Bar of George's Street Upper, Dún Laoghaire, South County Dublin

Formerly designated by the unappealing monicker of 'Kozie II'. A cramped little dwelling but a reasonably adequate Beamish is served. Notable for an M.C. Escher-ish staircase that comes complete with a window through which a climber may peer down upon the drinkers below – Andrew Stephens could not resist, he simply had to climb those stairs and indulge in some peeking through said window ('The toilet's the other way' quoth a solicitous barkeep who followed him). A droll barman remarked of Sam Coll's parsimony, carefully counting out coins to find the exact change for the round: 'Ah, he knows how to look after his money!'
